        1)  As usual, differently coloured and underlined words are, mostly, hyperlinks and by 'clicking' on these with your mouse you will visit the appropriate image or linked text.

TO START WITH A 'DISCLAIMER'.  This is not the official website of SUNDERLAND MINSTER, which has been under construction for a considerable time. Any points of view expressed and which are not assigned to a specific person are my own, and in no way official Minster policy or opinion - I have no standing in the Minster!  The great news is that , hopefully, the official site will be up and running very shortly, under the following address www.sunderlandminster.org  It will no doubt be a much more professional, detailed and informative site than this, rather more direct , offering of a mere (but sincere) amateur. The Minster staff will  let me know when this happens and I will then confirm it HERE. The Minster e-mail address is admin@sunderlandminster.org (click this link to access).  

 

   Changes to this website, other than times of service, etc, occur most often in the "News and Views"  page . I have rebuilt this page so that it contains references to all the subjects formally covered here, but with access to them via links in the table on the left hand side. Many of the pictures in that table are still merely linked to a larger version of the picture - other that the one showing the clergyman, Roland Meredith which links to his time here in the 1950s.  

 

This site generally aims to give as much information as possible about Sunderland Minster.

This site aim to cover something of the history (which is extensive) of this well-loved church, but chiefly it is intended to show that this site still houses a vibrant church and community which welcomes everyone.

The text for both the Rectors page and also the History page is not my work and I acknowledge this with gratitude to the authors of both pieces. They have given me immense pleasure in reading both texts, and I take equal pleasure in, hopefully, introducing their work to other readers. 

The photographs are my own efforts and I hope that they add to enjoyment of these pages
